Ephesians chapter 6 verse 13 says
Therefore, put on the full Armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

In this day and age there is so much that comes upon the men. It is increasingly difficult considering all the struggles that come upon us on a daily basis.

  • How does a man stand in the workplace?
  • How does a man stand as the head of the family?
  • How does a man stand as a husband and father?
  • How does a man stand in ministry?

Men have never learned to speak about those inner pains they carry yet it is expected of them that they should stand.

With the men’s group gathering we want to be able to create an atmosphere where men can feel free to talk and share of their experiences, be encouraged by the Word and take their rightful place to which they have been called.

Proverbs chapter 23, verse 7: "As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he".
As men it is time that we get to know how our maker thinks about us and with which intent He created us. So, we can get a better understanding of the role we are to play in life. To know who we really are as men.

Finally, men have to know what our destination is in life. What is our vision. In Hosea chapter 4 verse 6 the bible says my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. "Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children.
This means that as men we are to be in a constant learning mode. We have to learn to embrace knowledge because it affects the position God has called us into. The position of a priest. And furthermore, it causes our future generations, our very own flesh and blood to also be rejected. Our generations depend on our eagerness to want to learn and grow as a man. We have a great responsibility that we carry as men.
